The Bioinnovation PhD Program welcomes students with backgrounds in all science and engineering sub-specialties. To be considered, applicants must have a GPA of 3.4 or greater as well as a combined verbal and quantitative GRE score above 300. Only citizens and permanent residents are eligible to be enrolled at this time.

For your application, you will be required to supply the following:
- an official transcript in a sealed envelope from each institution attended, sent to the Bioinnovation Program mailing address (provided below)
- 3 letters of recommendation submitted directly to the department either online or in paper form mailed directly to the Bioinnovation Program
- a statement of purpose that includes research experience and interests
- the title and abstract of your undergraduate and/or master’s thesis, if any.
There is no fee to apply.
Applications for priority admission are due by December 15 for the following Fall semester.
